About Paw Pouncer
Paw Pouncer is a delightful, family-friendly 2D arcade-style game designed to entertain cat lovers or simply anyone who loves a good game. Players control an adorable cat character who pounces left, right, and up to catch falling treats, toys, and special items while avoiding quirky hazards. The game is simple to learn, fun to master, and offers replayable enjoyment with progressively increasing challenges.
Our Story
Hi! We’re Kwame and Layla, siblings who love cats, bright colors, and adventures. During the summer of 2025, we took a trip to Puerto Vallarta, where we discovered an area called "Cat Island" where we encountered many cats!!! 🐱
When we came back from the trip, we decided to build a website and a game based on our experience. And that's how Paw Pouncer was born. We hope you enjoy playing as much as we enjoyed making it!
Game Design

Gameplay Tips
- Good Items: Catch fish (🐟 +10), yarn (🧶 +5), and golden fish (🐠 +50) for points.
- Cat Growth: Eating fish makes your cat grow up to 500% size! Golden fish give double growth.
- Speed Boost: As your cat grows, it moves faster and can jump higher!
- Jumping: Use Spacebar or W to jump and catch treats mid-air!
- Power-ups: Grab shields (🛡️) for double points and protection from hazards (duration adjustable in settings).
- Hazards: Avoid spray bottles (💦), snowflakes (❄️), and dogs (🐶) to keep your lives.
- Multiplier: Increases every 10 seconds—higher multiplier means more points!
- Fair Play: No penalties for missed items - focus on catching treats and avoiding hazards!
